We have two options for people wishing to start their own swingers site.

Option 1. A swingers affiliate site

The biggest advantage to having an affiliate site is that you start with a group of members, so that people who visit your site have people to make contact with from day 1.

You will get a referral fee from the affiliating company for each member who upgrades from a standard "FREE" membership to a "Full or Premium" membership. This fee is usually about 50% of the fees paid by the member for the life of their upgraded membership.

You will need to drive members to your site, through advertising, cross linking and word of mouth. To expect to get members from a search engine in this niche is unrealistic, as there are many thousands of sites who are already fighting for the top spots in the results.

A typical Swingers affiliate site would cost you £300 / 350€. For this you will get the following:

• One years purchase of a domain name for your site
• One years hosting of the site on one of our shared servers
• Submission to the big 3 search engines - Google, Yahoo and Bing
• Cross links to our sites and our customer sites
• A site in the colours you want from a choice of templates
• Integration of affiliate code for joining, login, lost passwords etc.,

The site will consist of

• A Welcome Page
• An "About Us" page
• A "Contact Us" page
• A "News" page
• A "Links" page
• A "FAQ" section

Extra pages can be added at the cost of 15€ per text page, addition of a photo gallery would be 100€

Option 2. Your own membership system

The advantages to having your own site are that all the membership fees are collected by you, and can be used to invest in the future of the site.

The disadvantage is that when you start you will have no members, and it will take several weeks or months before you have enough members to justify charging them a premium fee.

You will need to drive members to your site, through advertising, cross linking and word of mouth. To expect to get members from a search engine in this niche is unrealistic, as there are many thousands of sites who are already fighting for the top spots in the results.

The cost of such a site are also higher. The cost to you will be between 500€ and 1000€ depending on the options selected and implemented.

The costs are increased because a contact ad system would need to be licensed and configured to work with your system and the web space to host your site will be greater, possibly requiring your own server if you get a large number of users with a large number of pictures.

Using an off the shelf ad system gives you a wide degree of flexibility, but you will be restricted by the capabilities of the program. The costs of having a bespoke system built runs into ten of thousands of dollars, and is outside our capabilities.
